Endometrial (Uterine) Cancer
How will my doctor diagnose endometrial (uterine) cancer? Will an ordinary pap smear find endometrial cancer?

Although a pap smear might find endometrial cancer, it will not usually find it. Instead, a sample of endometrial tissue must be removed and examined under a microscope to look for cancer cells. One of the following procedures may be used to get a sample of tissue: If you have cancer, you may have some blood tests, a urine test, a CT scan, or X-rays to see if the cancer has spread to other parts of your body.
