Trichomonas
If my symptoms aren't so bad, is it still important to get treated for trichomonas?

Yes, it is still important for several reasons. Some of the reasons are as follows:
  • The genital inflammation caused by trichomoniasis can make it easier for a woman to become infected with HIV if she is exposed to the HIV virus.
  • Having trichomoniasis may increase the chance that an HIV-infected woman passes HIV to sex partners
  • The symptoms may get worse
  • you can infect other people with the disease
