There are numerous possibilties, so we will list here some of the common causes.

• Sexually transmitted infections such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, or Trichomonas
• Cervical Polyps
• Vaginal infections like yeast infections or other types of vaginal inflammation
• Injuries to vagina that may have occurred during sex, especially with vigorous sex, or certain sex toys
• Other types of tumors or masses like fibroids, or uterine polyps
• Cervical Ectropion - This refers to cervical glands that grow on the surface of the cervix.  Since they are exposed, they can get irritated and bleed.
