When should I stop breastfeeding?


The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that exclusive breastfeeding be continued until the infant is approximately 6 months old, when other foods can be slowly introduced into an infant’s diet. Of course, continued breastfeeding even after your infant is also eating solid foods, is beneficial and should be continued for as long as is mutually desired by you and your child.
