Ectopic Pregnancy
What if my doctor doesn’t see an ectopic pregnancy on the ultrasound?

If your ultrasound findings are non-diagnostic for an ectopic pregnancy, your doctor may recommend that you have blood drawn every two days and be monitored closely.  Occasionally, if your doctor has a very high clinical suspicion for an ectopic pregnancy, you may be advised to undergo a laparoscopy to surgically evaluate your abdomen and pelvis for evidence of an ectopic pregnancy.
