Ectopic Pregnancy
What are the risk factors for developing an ectopic pregnancy?

Any condition that disrupts the integrity of the fallopian tube, such as prior tubal surgery, a prior tubal pregnancy, or a history of pelvic inflammatory disease, can be a risk factor for developing an ectopic pregnancy.  Other risk factors include current use of an intrauterine contraceptive device, smoking, multiple sexual partners, and a history of infertility.
