Miscarriage

Is there anything I can do to prevent a miscarriage from happening again?

Many women who have a miscarriage will have a completely normal subsequent pregnancy.  For some women, however, miscarriages can be recurrent.  It is important to talk to your doctor about your personal risk of having a recurrent miscarriage.  Any woman, however, who is considering getting pregnant should take a daily prenatal vitamin and should avoid smoking, alcohol, illicit drugs or excessive caffeine intake.
